Eating Out

Eureka Springs punches above its size for food. The restaurant scene leans heavily on locally sourced Ozark ingredients — trout from nearby streams, wild mushrooms, grass-fed beef — and the arts-community character of the town attracts chefs who are doing genuinely interesting things. Most restaurants are in the historic downtown, occupying Victorian storefronts along Spring Street and the upper blocks. Reservations are a good idea in summer, when the town fills quickly and tables at the better places disappear early in the week.
