Buena Park sits at the junction of the 5 (Santa Ana) and 91 (Riverside) freeways, about 25 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 15 miles from John Wayne (Orange County) Airport. Long Beach Airport is also close. LAX is about 30 miles north-west but the drive can take well over an hour in traffic.
By train, the Buena Park station on Manchester Boulevard is served by both Metrolink (Orange County and 91 lines) and Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, with trains running to Los Angeles Union Station, San Diego, and Anaheim. The station is about a mile north of Knott's Berry Farm.
