Hanford Civic Auditorium

1924 mission-revival civic hall, still in active use

Address 400 N. Douty St., Hanford 93230

Built in 1924 in a mission-revival style with red tile roofs and arched windows, the Civic Auditorium sits on the north side of Courthouse Square. It still functions as the town's main public hall and hosts community events, school graduations, and the occasional concert. The white-stucco facade and central clock tower make it the most photographed building in town after the courthouse itself.

The interior preserves much of its 1920s detailing, including the original wooden ceiling. Even if there is nothing scheduled, the building is worth a slow look from the square.
