Victoria Gardens

A 147-acre open-air lifestyle centre designed as the de facto downtown of Rancho Cucamonga — a city that, having grown from three unincorporated communities in 1977, never had a real centre of its own. Streets, plazas, and pavement cafés mimic an older urban grid; the tenant mix is the standard upscale-mall lineup of Macy's, Bass Pro Shops, Apple, and 150-odd smaller stores. The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center next door holds the public library, a theatre, and an art exhibition space — a more genuine civic counterpart.

For shopping and a meal it works well; the design is more pleasant than most malls. Open daily. Free parking is generous.
