Confidence Hall

Confidence Hall is an 1860 brick Italianate building in old Placerville, first built for the volunteer fire brigade. Over time it served as the police department, jail, court, city hall, and public library, which makes it a compact summary of the town's civic history.

It is best seen as part of a walk through Placerville's Gold Rush-era centre, along with the Fountain-Tallman Museum and Hangman's Tree Historic Spot.
