A large indoor-outdoor science and nature centre on the south bank of the Sacramento River, anchored by the Sundial Bridge. The complex includes natural history and science galleries, a working arboretum with a butterfly house, and access to several miles of river trail. The arboretum is a good introduction to the native plants of the Sacramento Valley. Worth an hour or two if you have children; adults can skip the interactive exhibits and head straight to the trails and gardens.
