Torrance is one of the best places to eat Japanese food in southern California — the city has the largest Japanese-American population in the LA area outside of Little Tokyo, with the headquarters of Honda, Toyota (until 2017), and several other Japanese corporations historically driving demand for authentic restaurants. Sushi, ramen, izakayas, and tonkatsu specialists all do business at a Tokyo level here.
