The Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village explains the farm country that surrounds Dover and much of the state. Inside are tractors, tools, and exhibits on crops and rural work; outside, the recreated village gives children and adults a more tangible sense of blacksmith shops, barns, and small-town services.
It is especially worthwhile if your Delaware itinerary has been heavy on state government, beaches, or military aviation. The museum is modest, but it gives Dover a rural context and makes clear how much of Delaware's identity was shaped by agriculture before highways and beach traffic took over the map.
