Perched on the 40th floor of the EAST Miami hotel inside Brickell City Centre, Sugar is the highest rooftop bar in the city and the one most worth the trip. A garden of tropical planting wraps a 360-degree terrace that takes in Biscayne Bay, the Brickell skyline, and the cruise ships heading out from the port. The kitchen leans pan-Asian — bao buns, Korean short rib, sushi rolls — to go with a serious cocktail list.
It gets busy and there is often a line after sunset, so come early for a railing spot. Drinks are priced for the view, but the view delivers.
