The Little Haiti Cultural Complex on NE 2nd Avenue is the neighbourhood's main gathering point. It houses the Caribbean Marketplace, a brightly coloured open-air bazaar modelled on the Iron Market in Port-au-Prince, with vendors selling Haitian art, music, books, and crafts. The complex also has an art gallery, a 300-seat theatre that hosts Haitian music and dance performances, and a dance studio. The third-Friday-of-the-month Sounds of Little Haiti street party draws a local crowd for live kompa and rara music.
