Getting Around

Naples is a car city, and most attractions require one. The historic core — Old Naples, the pier, Third Street South, and Fifth Avenue South — is small enough to walk comfortably, but the Naples Botanical Garden, the Revs Institute, the zoo, and Vanderbilt Beach are all a drive away.

Taxis and rideshares work well in the tourist areas. There is no useful public transit. Bike rental is possible but the road network is built around cars, so cycling requires care. Many hotels provide shuttle services to the beach.

Parking is generally available but can be tight in peak season around the pier and along Fifth Avenue South. Metered street parking and pay lots are the norm in Old Naples.
