Naples Airport (APF) handles regional flights and private aviation, but most visitors arrive through Fort Myers' Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), about 45 minutes north by car. RSW has direct connections from most major US cities and several international routes.
By road, Naples is at the southern end of I-75. From Miami, take US-41 (Tamiami Trail) west across the Everglades — a flat, arrow-straight drive through saw-grass prairie that takes about two hours. From Fort Lauderdale, the Alligator Alley stretch of I-75 across the Everglades is faster.
There is no passenger rail to Naples. Greyhound operates limited bus services. Most visitors drive or rent a car, which is effectively essential once you are here.
