The Alhambra Theatre and Dining

The Alhambra is the oldest continuously operating dinner theatre in the United States, having staged professional productions since 1967 in a purpose-built venue on Beach Boulevard on the southside. It seats about 400 people around tables arranged in a horseshoe around the stage — you eat a full dinner (buffet format) before and during the performance, and the show typically runs two hours.

The productions lean toward classic Broadway musicals — Grease, Chicago, Cabaret, Nine to Five — performed at a professional standard. It is not the most adventurous theatre in the world, but the combination of dinner, a polished show, and an intimate setting makes for a dependably enjoyable evening. Reserve well in advance for popular shows.
