Jacksonville's most interesting shopping is concentrated in Riverside-Avondale and the beach towns rather than in any traditional commercial district. St. Johns Avenue in Avondale has a good string of antique shops, galleries, and boutiques. Five Points has vintage clothing and record shops. Chamblin Bookmine downtown is a destination in itself.
The beach towns support a surf shop culture — Sunrise Surf Shop in Atlantic Beach is the oldest continuously operating surf shop in Florida. San Marco has more upmarket boutiques along the main square and Hendricks Avenue.
