European Street Café is one of the most reliably good casual restaurants in Jacksonville, a long-running neighbourhood spot in Riverside with an enormous deli counter, a beer list of several hundred bottles and cans from around the world, and a menu of sandwiches, salads, soups, and daily specials. The combination of serious beer selection, good food, and modest prices has made it an institution.
Multiple locations exist across the city, but the Park Street original in Riverside is the best — it has the most character and the biggest deli selection. Good for lunch and early evening. The beer list, which leans heavily toward craft and import, is extraordinary for a casual restaurant and worth browsing even if you are only there for coffee.
