Bold City Brewery is one of Jacksonville's oldest and most established craft breweries, operating out of a warehouse space in Riverside with a large taproom, outdoor seating, and a rotating selection of beers that leans toward approachable lagers, IPAs, and seasonal releases. The Duke's Cold Nose Brown Ale and 1901 Red Ale are the flagship beers that most Jacksonville drinkers know.
The taproom fills up on Friday evenings with a mix of neighbourhood regulars and craft beer travellers. Food trucks park outside most evenings. Bold City has done as much as any single business to establish Jacksonville's craft beer culture, and the brewery's longevity in a scene full of turnover is testament to the quality of what they make.
