Shopping

Worth Avenue is the reason most people come to Palm Beach to shop. The four-block street runs from the Lake Worth Lagoon to the ocean and is lined with every major luxury brand — Hermès, Chanel, Cartier, Tiffany, Ralph Lauren — plus independent art galleries, antique dealers, and jewellers. Prices match the clientele. The arcaded vias (small lanes running off the main street, especially Via Mizner and Via Parigi) contain smaller galleries and boutiques and are worth exploring regardless of budget.

For anything practical — groceries, hardware, pharmacy — residents cross the bridge to West Palm Beach, which has ordinary supermarkets and shopping centres. Palm Beach itself has almost no utilitarian retail: the town zoning actively discourages it.
