Palm Beach rewards the curious visitor who looks past the boutiques and hotel lobbies. The Mizner architecture is genuinely distinctive and easy to see just by walking the streets. Whitehall — Henry Flagler's gilded palace, now a museum — is the single best reason to visit. Worth Avenue has the vias, which are tiny arcaded lanes running off the main street, and are worth exploring even if the prices are not. The public beach is free and underused.
