Panama City Marina and Civic Center

The Marina sits at the south end of Harrison Avenue, where the downtown grid meets St. Andrews Bay. It is a working marina with a public boat ramp, a stretch of dockside walkway, and the Panama City Civic Center — a small concert and convention venue. A modest amount of post-Michael investment has cleaned up the seawalls and added benches, and on a fine evening the view across the bay to Panama City Beach is genuinely pleasant.

A handful of restaurants line the marina edge; the seafood is variable but the sunset is reliable. Fishing charters leave from here for the bay and offshore reefs. The Marina is also the docking point for the Governor Stone, the historic 1877 cargo schooner, which is being slowly restored after taking serious damage in the 2018 hurricane.
