The Sherman Arcade is a small two-storey commercial building at 228 Harrison Avenue, built in 1929 in the Spanish Mission Revival style — the only example of the genre in downtown Panama City. The pale stucco walls, red tile parapet, and arched entrance feel transplanted from St. Augustine. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
After damage in Hurricane Michael in 2018 the building was sensitively restored and is once again in commercial use as offices and small retail. There is nothing to enter for, but it makes a pleasant five-minute stop on a downtown walk, ideally combined with the McKenzie House on East 3rd Court and the Bay County Courthouse a block away.
