Panama City is small and most of what's worth seeing fits in a long weekend. Downtown's Harrison Avenue has the historic buildings, the Center for the Arts, and the Marina district at its southern end. Across the bay bridge, St. Andrews State Park is the regional showpiece — pristine dunes, two jetties, a fishing pier, and a shuttle to Shell Island. The Science and Discovery Center keeps kids happy on a rainy day.
