The Asturian Center is a 1914 mutual-aid clubhouse built by immigrants from northern Spain. The exterior is a neo-classical block of red brick and pale stone; inside is a vast theatre, decorated in deep reds and golds, that survives largely as built. The club still operates and the theatre regularly hosts opera and Spanish-language drama. A short tour is usually possible by request at the front desk.
