Getting Around

The historic district is small enough to walk in a morning — most of it fits within ten blocks. Bicycles work well for slightly longer trips, including the four-mile pedal across the John Gorrie Bridge to Eastpoint. There are a couple of small rental shops downtown.

For St. George Island you need a car or a bike with serious commitment. There is no local bus or taxi service to speak of beyond the occasional ride-share. Parking in town is free and easy.
