Augusta's bar life is concentrated along lower Broad Street, where a run of bars and live music venues lines both sides of the road through the centre of downtown. It's a manageable strip — you can walk the whole thing and get a sense of it within an hour. On weekend nights it gets lively; the rest of the week it's quieter but still worth exploring. The city has a decent coffee culture for its size, with a handful of independent shops doing proper espresso.
