Enterprise Mill is the handsome brick textile mill that now anchors the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area. Its long industrial facade and canal-side setting make it one of the clearest places to understand Augusta's 19th-century manufacturing boom.
Inside, the Augusta Canal Discovery Center tells the story of the canal, hydropower, textile work, and the city's place in the industrial South. It is also the starting point for canal boat tours, so it works best as the first stop before walking or riding along the towpath.
