A large, family-oriented science museum at the southern edge of Bartow County, just off I-75 in nearby Cartersville-Emerson. The four main galleries cover minerals (a strong collection drawn from Georgia mines), fossils (including a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton cast and several genuine mosasaurs), transportation (Wright flyer replica, vintage cars, a moon rover), and a hands-on science hall for younger visitors. A planetarium and an observatory share the site.
A good half-day for families travelling the Atlanta–Chattanooga corridor, particularly in bad weather.
