A 35-foot waterfall on Long Creek, reached by a one-mile side trail from the AT/Benton MacKaye junction north of Springer. The falls drop in two tiers into a clear pool that is shallow enough to wade in summer. The hike is easy and well-marked, suitable for casual visitors.
Long Creek Falls is one of the best short hikes in the Springer area and is a common detour for thru-hikers in their first day or two on the trail. From the Three Forks trailhead the round trip is about three miles total.
