Valdosta

South Georgia stopover city near Florida, with university life and Wild Adventures on its edge.

Valdosta is a mid-size city in the southernmost corner of Georgia, about 15 miles from the Florida border on I-75. It's primarily a stopover town for travelers heading to or from Florida. Valdosta State University gives it some student energy, and there are decent shopping and dining options for a rest stop.

The city lies in an area historically known for tobacco and timber. Wild Adventures Theme Park on the south side of town is the main family attraction in the region.
