Idaho Black History Museum

Small museum tracing Black history in Idaho inside a historic church.

The Idaho Black History Museum is small, but it fills an important gap in Boise's story. Housed in the former St. Paul Baptist Church, it documents Black life in Idaho through community history, civil-rights material, local biographies and changing exhibits.

It is a useful stop because Idaho's Black history is easy to miss if you only follow the statehouse, Basque Block and riverfront circuit. Give it time as a context stop rather than a big museum marathon, and combine it with nearby Julia Davis Park museums.
