Otis Park sits on the east side of Bedford and combines a public golf course with a Depression-era picnic shelter, swimming pool, and woodland trails. The park is on the National Register and preserves a number of the limestone-and-timber rustic structures built during the 1930s.
The course is a nine-hole public layout with mature trees and rolling karst topography. Even if you do not play, the park is a pleasant spot to wander or picnic, and the limestone-built bathhouse and entry pillars are worth a look as small-scale examples of what the local stone can do.
