Audubon Aquarium of the Americas is New Orleans' major riverfront aquarium, set beside the Mississippi at the edge of the French Quarter and Central Business District. Its exhibits focus on aquatic life from the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, the Amazon, and other marine habitats.
It is one of the city's strongest family attractions and a useful indoor stop in hot or wet weather. The location makes it easy to combine with Woldenberg Riverfront Park, the Canal Street ferry, or a walk into the French Quarter.
