Things to Do

St. Paul is the quieter, more historic of the Twin Cities. The Capitol Building (the largest self-supported marble dome in the world when it was built) anchors the north end of downtown. The grand houses of Summit Avenue, including the James J. Hill mansion, run west from the Cathedral of Saint Paul. Lowertown is the arts and entertainment district, with galleries, restaurants, and the farmers' market clustered around Mears Park.
