Minden is a small town and everything of interest is within easy walking or driving distance. Pioneer Village is right on US Highway 6 as you enter town, and the historic downtown square is a few blocks away. There is no local public transport; visitors invariably arrive and get around by car.
Kearney, 15 miles north, is the nearest city with a wider range of services, accommodation beyond Pioneer Village's on-site motel, and access to I-80.
