Minden sits on US Highway 6, about 15 miles south of Interstate 80. From I-80, take exit 279 at Kearney and follow State Route 10 south; the drive takes roughly 20 minutes. From the east or west along I-80, the route is straightforward and well-signposted for Pioneer Village.
The nearest commercial airport is Kearney Regional Airport (EAR), served by flights from Denver. Omaha Eppley Airfield (OMA), roughly two and a half hours to the east, has more frequent connections. There is no public transport to Minden; a car is essential.
Minden is approximately 185 miles west of Lincoln, 145 miles west of Grand Island, and 70 miles east of North Platte.
