Goldfield is small — a couple of long streets of preserved boomtown buildings, a few oddball attractions on the outskirts, and a saloon that has somehow stayed open for over a hundred years. Half a day is enough to see everything in town, but if you stay for the night, the desert dark and the few lights of the surviving buildings make the place feel even further out of time.
