PublicUs occupies a corner space on Fremont Street at the point where downtown bleeds into the Arts District and has become the go-to morning stop for the neighbourhood's creative residents. The coffee programme is taken seriously — proper espresso drinks, single-origin pour-overs — and the food menu runs from breakfast sandwiches through grain bowls to a short dinner menu in the evenings.
The room is long and open with a mix of communal tables and solo perches that attracts a working crowd of designers, writers, and people just passing through. Avocado toast is done well here without apology. The weekend brunch is worth the short wait. One of the easiest places in the city to spend a couple of hours.
