Hoboken's pleasures are mostly outdoors and street-level: the waterfront promenade, the Beaux-Arts railway terminal, the bars and brunch spots of Washington Street, and Sinatra Park looking onto the Manhattan skyline. Pierce a few historic churches and quirky neighbourhood shrines (Sybil's Cave, the Firemen's Monument, Stevens Hall) into the day and you have a satisfying weekend.
