Farm-to-table restaurant in the Los Poblanos fields, emphasising New Mexican produce

Campo is the restaurant at Los Poblanos Historic Inn, a working lavender farm and heritage property in the Rio Grande bosque north of Old Town. The setting — a 1930s Spanish Colonial hacienda surrounded by fields — is the most atmospheric dining environment in Albuquerque. The kitchen works closely with the farm and sources heavily from New Mexico producers, resulting in menus that feel genuinely of this place rather than generic upscale Southwest.

The food is seasonal and changes regularly, but tends toward well-executed dishes that put good ingredients first: green chile in season, local lamb, root vegetables from the farm. It's not cheap, and it draws a local crowd as much as visitors. Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner; lunch is slightly easier to walk into. The property also produces its own Los Poblanos organic lavender products sold on site.
