A 1940s roadside curio shop with a 9-metre stuccoed tipi grafted onto the front — exactly the kind of Route 66 kitsch that the Mother Road specialised in. The neon sign at night is one of Tucumcari's defining images.
Inside, the shop is essentially unchanged: Native American jewellery (much of it actually made in New Mexico), turquoise, postcards, fridge magnets, fudge. It is the most photographed shopfront in town. Open most days; the owner is talkative.
