Linwood Local Historic District

Linwood Local Historic District is a residential stretch of Buffalo known for large late-19th- and early-20th-century houses in Colonial Revival, Queen Anne, Shingle, and related styles. It developed as one of the city's aristocratic neighbourhoods after the Civil War, close to but distinct from the grander Delaware Avenue mansion district.

Most buildings are private homes, so the visit is a walk rather than an interior tour. The district is worthwhile for architecture-minded travellers already exploring Elmwood, Delaware Avenue, or the Richardson Olmsted Campus.
