As with most cities, shopping districts are available and are a welcome change for most that visit big-box retailers.
International travellers or travellers from larger cities, please note that Buffalo's downtown area does not have much of a shopping district, since the inception of bus service back in 1986.
The Main Place Mall in Downtown (at Church Street Metro Rail Station) has a couple small boutiques, but cater primarily to the lunchtime business crowd.
In addition, when there are major concerts or hockey games in Downtown, RESERVATIONS ARE MANDATORY at virtually all restaurants.
Your concierge or front desk can make recommendations on what to do when you are downtown.
