Andre Captor's Monument marks the Revolutionary War episode in which three local militiamen captured British officer John Andre and exposed Benedict Arnold's plot to surrender West Point. The site also sits in Sleepy Hollow lore as the place where Ichabod Crane first meets the Headless Horseman.
