Lyndhurst

Lyndhurst is a Gothic Revival mansion on the Hudson, best known as the former home of railroad magnate Jay Gould. The house is a National Trust property, with tours of the mansion and public access to its 67 acres of grounds and walking trails.

The exterior has the right amount of theatrical gloom for Sleepy Hollow country, and it has appeared in several vampire films. Seasonal events add another reason to visit, especially around autumn and Christmas.
