The craft-beer scene is genuinely strong here. Foothills Brewing on West Fourth Street is the local institution — their Hoppyum IPA put Winston-Salem on the southern beer map. Wise Man Brewing, in a converted Innovation Quarter warehouse, runs the most interesting taproom downtown. Incendiary Brewing, also in the Innovation Quarter, leans into Belgian and farmhouse styles.
For coffee, Camino Bakery and Krankies Coffee are the two reliable choices; Krankies doubles as a live-music venue in the evening. For cocktails, The Honey Pot on Trade Street does the most ambitious mixology in the city.
