The Roger Maris Museum is a very Fargo kind of sports shrine: free, unflashy, and tucked inside West Acres Mall. The glass-fronted display follows Maris from his North Dakota youth to the 1961 New York Yankees season when he hit 61 home runs and broke Babe Ruth's single-season record.
It is a niche stop, but a good one if baseball means anything to you. The museum's mall setting also makes it easy to fold into a short Fargo visit without giving up a whole afternoon.
