North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame

The Cowboy Hall of Fame on Main Street takes a wide-angle view of plains culture: ranching, rodeo, Native American horse culture, and the lives of homesteaders and trick riders. The signature display is a life-size diorama of a Native American horseman, and the small movie theatre runs a short film on the impact of the horse on the Great Plains.

The building also houses temporary exhibits and a serviceable gift shop. Open daily in summer with shorter hours in shoulder season; closed in winter. An hour is plenty. Pair it with the nearby Billings County Courthouse if you have the time.
