Norman is a car-first city — flat, sprawled, and built around wide arterial streets. Most visitors rent a car or rely on rideshare. The CART transit system runs free buses on five routes, including a useful link between the campus, downtown, and Campus Corner; service is best on weekdays and patchy on weekends.
The OU main campus, downtown, and Campus Corner are all walkable individually but spread across roughly 4 km from the National Weather Center in the south to the Moore-Lindsay House in the north. A bike or rideshare bridges the gaps comfortably. Free parking is generally easy except on football game days.
