A day in Norman runs along two axes: the University of Oklahoma's leafy main campus on the south side, with its two outstanding museums and the Sooners' football cathedral; and the small but vital downtown to the north, where the Sooner Theatre, the historic Moore-Lindsay House, and the bars and bookshops of Campus Corner cluster within a few walkable blocks. The National Weather Center on the south campus is one of the few places in the country where you can watch tornado forecasts being issued in real time.
