Bars and Cafes

Bricktown has the densest concentration of bars and is where most visitors end up at least once. The Plaza District, Midtown and Automobile Alley are more interesting if you want craft cocktails, independent breweries or something resembling a quiet conversation. Oklahoma now has dozens of small breweries — the state changed its liquor laws in 2018 and the scene has exploded — and several have taprooms in town.

The 39th Street Enclave, west of the city centre, is the centre of Oklahoma City's LGBTQ nightlife, with over twenty gay-friendly bars and clubs along NW 39th between Pennsylvania and May.
