From the antiques and collectibles shops up and down May Street to several flea markets, Oklahoma City is a surprisingly good place for treasure hunters.

The Oklahoma City Antique District, just north of the fairgrounds starting at 10th and May, runs several blocks up May Street with a dozen or more antique malls and shops.

Old Paris Flea Market at 1111 South Eastern is a classic Midwestern flea market with a mix of new merchandise, garage sale finds, and genuine antiques. Worth the trip for shoppers willing to dig.

Mary's Ole Time Swap Meet at 7925 NE 23rd (corner of 23rd and Midwest) draws collectors of every stripe on weekends. Mostly outdoors, so best in good weather. Open year-round, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Pack Rats at 2712 NW 10th Street, just off May Avenue, is a pop-culture collector's paradise. Character collectibles, advertising memorabilia, and just about anything anyone has ever thought about collecting.
